日本三菱UFJ银行此前多次违反银行监管机构的规定而遭到了严格的处罚，在近日银行监管机构表示他们已经进行了改善。
日本的银行监管机构在周一命令三菱UFJ金融集团的银行和证券部门改进合规措施，此前证券监管机构发现其多次违反“防火墙”规定。
此次处罚距离竞争对手三井住友金融集团的证券部门因市场操纵指控被起诉不到两年，当时该部门被命令停止违规业务并改善合规性。
负责实施此类处罚的金融厅命令三菱UFJ各部门查明违规原因，并提交业务改进计划以防止再次发生类似事件。
证券交易监视委员会在六月中旬建议对三菱UFJ银行及其与摩根士丹利合作的两家证券公司进行处罚，原因是未经授权共享客户信息。
调查发现，三菱UFJ银行与集团旗下的两家证券公司——三菱UFJ摩根士丹利证券和摩根士丹利三菱UFJ证券——之间至少有26次共享了机密信息。
此外，还发现三菱UFJ银行向与这两家证券公司有业务往来的客户提供了优惠贷款利率。
日本的“防火墙”规定禁止同一集团内的银行和证券公司在未经客户同意的情况下共享客户数据。
三菱UFJ在一份声明中表示，完全接受这些处罚，并计划向金融厅提交业务改进计划。
