Illumina公司周一宣布，其董事会已经批准了Grail的分拆计划。这一决定是在三年前收购Grail的交易面临巨大的反垄断审查和投资者Carl Icahn的反对下做出的。
根据计划，股东每持有六股Illumina股票将获得一股Grail的普通股。分拆后，Illumina将保留Grail 14.5%的股份，分拆日期定于6月24日。Illumina的股票在盘后交易中上涨了4%。
Illumina在2016年创立了Grail，并将其分拆出去，但在2021年以71亿美元的价格重新收购了Grail，旨在进入癌症早期检测市场。
这一交易遭到了反垄断监管机构的反对，担心Illumina会阻止Grail的竞争对手使用其技术来开发竞争性的血液早期癌症检测产品。
去年7月，欧盟监管机构因为Illumina在未获得反垄断批准前完成了收购，对其处以创纪录的4.32亿欧元（约合4.7118亿美元）罚款。
此外，由于Grail的支出超出预期及其测试进展的延迟，Illumina被迫进行减值处理。Icahn在去年12月表示，这些减值总计达47亿美元。
