在美国最新的通胀数据公布后市场上普遍表示悲观，特别是在持续的降息讨论后公布一个这么高通胀数据，但是高盛方面对于未来的前景还是比较乐观。
美国劳工统计局在本周三公布了美国近期的CPI数据，3月的CPI增速明显快于市场预期，3月CPI未季调环比上涨0.4%，同比增速达到3.5%，高于预期的4.3%，这比2月份3.2%的涨幅有所加快。
过高的CPI严重打击了市场和投资者对于降息的预期和信心，此前虽然已经有很多专家和机构出面打了预防针称可能会不降息或减少降息次数，但是当数据真的公布时还是十分惊人，此前普遍预期的6月降息也被推迟到了9月。
远高于预期的通胀数据让很多投资者对前景感到悲观，但是高盛方面却持有相对乐观的观点，虽然目前的数据显示通胀保持粘性难以回落，但是高盛预计通胀将在未来几个月内有所缓解，今年美国CPI将回落至2.4%，低于目前3.5%的年率水平。
在去年12月美联储主席鲍威尔公开了美联储方面正在考虑在未来进行降息，但是并未正面承诺和说明，在此之后围绕降息次数、降息幅度、降息时间等的讨论一直非常火热，不过一直有声音称未来很可能不降息甚至加息，其中就包括了前财政部长萨默斯。
