碧桂园因为无力偿还天价债务而在几个月前就已经陷入危机，但是听证会一直未能召开屡屡延期。
深陷困境的碧桂园在周四的一份文件中表示，香港高等法院已将要求清算这家中国房地产开发商的听证会进一步推迟至7月29日。
该公司没有提供延迟的原因。听证会原定于6月11日举行，之前已从5月推迟，原因是碧桂园需要更多时间准备证据。
如果碧桂园能够在与离岸债权人的债务重组谈判中取得进展，这将有助于开发商对抗清算申请。
消息人士称，碧桂园的顾问、临时债权人小组和一组银行贷款人仍在进行尽职调查，以仔细审查开发商的资产负债表。
去年，该开发商未能偿还110亿美元的离岸债券，目前正在进行离岸债务重组。
香港上市公司建滔集团的子公司Ever Credit Limited于2月对碧桂园提出清算申请，原因是未偿还2.05亿美元的贷款。
据路透社报道，碧桂园在4月份告诉部分离岸债权人，计划在今年下半年提出债务重组方案。
自4月2日以来，碧桂园的股票已暂停交易，等待发布其2023年财务报告。
