The Shenzhen International Financial Expo was established in 2007, hosted by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, and has successfully held 16 sessions to date. As the most influential brand exhibition in Shenzhen's financial sector, it serves as an important window to showcase the achievements of Shenzhen's financial reform and innovation, as well as a significant platform for showcasing the latest technologies, products, and services in the domestic and international financial fields. The expo actively promotes exchanges and development in Shenzhen's financial industry and nationwide.
The main organizer of the Shenzhen International Financial Expo is the Shenzhen Municipal Government. The co-organizers include the Shenzhen Local Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau, Shenzhen Council for the Promotion of International Trade, People's Bank of China Shenzhen Central Branch, Shenzhen Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, Shenzhen Securities Regulatory Commission, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Shenzhen State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Shenzhen Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Service Bureau, Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone Authority, and Shenzhen International Chamber of Commerce. The supporting organizations include Shenzhen Banking Association, Shenzhen Association of Insurers, Shenzhen Securities Association, Shenzhen Venture Capital Association, and Shenzhen Futures Association.
The positioning of the Shenzhen International Financial Expo includes three main tasks: serving the real economy, controlling financial risks, and deepening financial reforms; three central goals: promoting Shenzhen as a global financial innovation center, a global innovative capital formation center, and a global financial technology center; four main platforms: a platform for the release and transaction conversion of financial technology achievements, a platform for the display and transaction of financial services, a platform for the integration and docking of finance and industry, and a platform for cooperation and exchange of financial innovation; five main services: serving industry exchanges, supporting industrial development, promoting institutions, facilitating corporate financing, and assisting public financial management.
The 16th Shenzhen International Financial Expo opened on January 9, 2023, with the theme "Technology, Digital, Green, Consumption." This year's expo brought together nearly 300 financial institutions and enterprises, showcasing over 1,000 financial products. The exhibition area covered 30,000 square meters, featuring two main exhibition sections: financial services and financial technology, along with zones dedicated to financial talent exchange and financial education. The onsite displays included various striking aspects such as futuristic technology like digital RMB smart vending machines, major strategies like Shenzhen-Hong Kong financial cooperation, and aspects of financial knowledge enlightenment education.
Since 2007, the Shenzhen International Financial Expo has attracted over 2,000 participating institutions, hosted more than 330 professional forums and promotion roadshows, and drawn over 2 million visitors and participants. Additionally, more than 200 domestic and international media outlets have provided ongoing coverage of the expo, with over 3 million news releases and reprints. The Shenzhen International Financial Expo has garnered widespread attention and participation from the financial, business, and social sectors.
