Bankrupt BlockFi Granted Approval to Allow Withdrawals for US Customers
BlockFi has received approval from the bankruptcy court to permit its users to withdraw digital assets. The company has reopened its withdrawal services, but currently, it is only available to customers in the United States. The company announced this news in a post, reminding customers to check their emails or the BlockFi app to see if they are eligible for withdrawals.
Coinbase to Suspend Trading of USDT, DAI, and RAI for Canadian Users
Coinbase (COIN) regularly monitors the assets on its exchange to ensure they meet the company's listing standards. Following a recent review, Coinbase will suspend trading for USDT, DAI, and RAI in Canada starting August 31st. After the suspension, users will still be able to deposit and withdraw the affected stablecoins.
PNC Bank Appoints Zachary Bullock as Market Leader for Central Pennsylvania’s Commercial Banking
PNC Bank announced the promotion of Zachary Bullock to Senior Vice President and his appointment as the Market Leader for Central Pennsylvania’s Commercial Banking. Bullock has been with PNC since 2008 and has worked in retail banking, credit risk management, and financial management before moving to commercial banking. Based in the Lancaster office, Bullock will oversee the commercial banking team within the market, serving businesses with annual revenues between $5 million and $100 million.
Catherine Yien Joins HKEX as Head of Listing Regulation
HKEX announced the appointment of Catherine Yien as its Managing Director and Head of Listing Regulation, reporting to the Listing Division. Yien will lead a team responsible for overseeing more than 2,600 listed issuers in Hong Kong.
Before joining HKEX, Ms. Yien worked at Rothschild & Co for nearly 28 years, most recently serving as Managing Director of the global advisory team. She held several positions at Rothschild, including Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Compliance Officer.
Since 2019, Ms. Yien has been a member of the Securities and Futures Commission’s Advisory Committee and served on the Listing Committee of the Main Board and GEM of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2021, including as vice-chairperson.
Ms. Yien holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Management from Imperial College London and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
